Frequently asked questions

Learn more about how location tagging works with Moments with these frequently asked questions.

What are Location Services (iOS) and app location settings (Android)?

Do I need to grant the OurFamilyWizard app access to my location to create a Moment?

  • No, you do not need to grant access to your location to create a Moment. However, if you would like to add an optional location tag to a Moment, the OurFamilyWizard app will require access to your location.

Can I remove the app's access to my location?

Can I add any location to a Moment?

  • Yes, unlike Check-ins, Moments allow you to tag any location. This allows you to tag where you and your family have been when sharing pictures and memories from past events, trips, and more.

Creating Moments

  1. Tap the Add Item button, then tap Moments.
  2. Select the date for which you wish to associate your entry. This can be any date in the past, present, or future.

Once you're ready, tap Select This Location to make your selection.

You can also attach one or multiple photos and MyFiles to your entry. Tap the paper clip icon to attach images from your phone's camera roll or iCloud drive. Tap the folder icon to select any of your MyFiles to associate with this entry. From either section, select Done to save your selection.
